Ripert, Ricard and Petanque
For the internationally acclaimed chefs that travel from around the world to participate in the Cayman Cookout, there is one particularly jovial event that everyone looks forward to – Ripert, Ricard and Petanque.
 
Petanque, also known around the world as Boules, is traditionally a lawn game but, in this case, takes place on the sand at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman’s Andiamo Beach. Culinary stars including Eric Ripert and Dominique Crenn teamed up to take on Cayman Cookout guests and visiting chefs from around the world. Attendees sipped on fine wines by Domaine Ott and enjoyed exquisite bites by the talented culinary team at the Ritz-Carlton.
 
As the sun set, the friendly competition continued and, as has become tradition in recent years, the final rounds of the game went well on into the evening with Chef Frederic’s team, “D’fendors”, finally claiming the title as the stars twinkled in the moonlit sky.
