Rum & Robusto

Rum & Robusto
This stylish, post-brunch, poolside gathering has become a must-attend event over the years at the Cayman Cookout for locals and visitors alike. No culinary event in the Caribbean would be complete without rum and from the locally produced to world renowned, this event certainly celebrates some of the best.

Against the backdrop of the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman’s Harbour Pool with its shaded cabanas and lofty tropical palm trees, attendees enjoyed live music, Cuban style cuisine, cocktails and cigars as the sun began to go down on the last day of the Cayman Cookout.

Local art, crafts and produce were on display as we enjoyed fresh coconut water and sugarcane juice from local vendors, with a splash of rum, of course. We sipped on a vibrant selection of rum based cocktails from Alexa Delgado’s take on a Capri Sun for grown-ups to the creamy Mexican inspired, Rum Horchata. This laid back, island style event was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the ‘Culinary Capital of the Caribbean’.
