Vegetables are set to be a huge food trend this year, so we were excited to see Amanda Cohen, Owner of Chef of award-winning vegetarian restaurant Dirt Candy making her debut at this year’s Cayman Cookout.

One of the signature events of the Cayman Cookout, “The Beach Bash” whisks attendees across the crystal-clear waters of the North Sound to Grand Cayman’s North Side. It was there, at Rum Point, that attendees enjoyed an epicurean adventure alongside celebrity chefs including Eric Ripert, Emeril Lagasse and Nancy Silverton, and host Al Roker, while sipping on a chilled glass of Moet Imperial.

The Ritz-Carlton’s annual Cayman Cookout brings together some of the finest chefs from around the world, and what better setting to sample their culinary delights than Grand Cayman’s spectacular Seven Mile Beach.

Chef Emeril Lagasse’s hotly anticipated “Essential BAM” was a highlight of the 11^th annual Cayman Cookout for lovers of Cajun and Creole cuisine. Hosted in the Brand Source Beach Pavilion on the soft white sands of Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach, this culinary demonstration and sampling began like most events at this epicurean extravaganza, with a cocktail!

The Ritz-Carlton’s annual Cayman Cookout is a food lover’s dream but with all of these culinary indulges it’s good to have some balance. Well, thanks to Krug Champagne we enjoyed the perfect pairing of wellness and bubbles this morning on Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach with our first event of the day, “Yoga and Krug”.

On the second day of the Cayman Cookout, we were treated to an impressive lunch at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman’s Taikun restaurant. Our host, Joto Sake founder, Henry Sidel, explained the basics of the sake brewing process as he led us through a 4-course tasting menu with sake pairings.
 

Against the backdrop of Grand Cayman’s stunning Seven Mile Beach, Chef Dominique Crenn, the only female chef in the United States with 3 Michelin Stars, took us on a culinary journey during her Cayman Cookout demonstration.

The Jacques Scott Wine Fair and Auction at this year’s Cayman Cookout proved to be a vibrant affair, with live music, fines wines, a silent auction hall and exquisite bites prepared by the Ritz-Carlton’s culinary teams from across the globe.

A sunset sail should always be on your to-do list when visiting the Cayman Islands but during the Cayman Cookout, it’s an extra special occasion. 

Our Cayman Cookout experience got off to a great start this afternoon with a beverage tasting hosted by the master distillers of Don Julio Tequila and Ketel One Vodka, alongside the “World’s Best Bartender” Charles Joly and World Class Global 2017 mixology winner, Kaitlyn Stewar
