Grand Cayman Weather: What to Expect
No weather is always perfect, but more often than not, Grand Cayman weather provides beautiful sunny skies and warm temperatures for the majority of your visit. No matter the time of year you visit, you shouldn’t have to worry about scorching temperatures or frigid weather.
But what is the weather in Grand Cayman like during the different times of the year? That’s hard to know on your own, so allow us to forecast Cayman Islands’ weather for you.
January Through March
The winter months predictably offer the coolest weather for Cayman Islands’ visitors. But you won’t have to worry about being cold — the average temperature from January to March is about 26°C (79°F). Rainfall is low during this time as well, particularly in the month of March, which is also the least humid month. For milder and less humid Grand Cayman weather, this is a great time of year to map out a trip.
April Through June
Along with March, April through June are popular times to visit the Cayman Islands, partially due to the fantastic Cayman weather you’ll experience during this time of year. If you were to search “weather in Grand Cayman today” at any point during this period, you’re likely to see about 28°C (83°F) on most days.
July Through September
As is to be expected, the peak of the summer is when you’ll find the hottest Grand Cayman/Cayman Islands weather. Temperatures average at about 29°C (85°F) from July to September, and although average precipitation dips from June to July, August and September are somewhat similar to June in the amount of rainfall they receive.
It’s also worth noting that this time of the year is more affordable to book a trip. You’ll find lower rates on airfare and hotels during this period, which can be great for anyone trying to fit a Caribbean vacation into their budget.
October Through December
Grand Cayman weather begins to cool starting after September, with average temperatures dropping to about 28°C (83°F) in October and reaching about 27°C (80°F) on average in December. From October through November, the Caribbean experiences above-average rainfall. Despite this, the Cayman Islands boast some of the best weather during this time in terms of temperature. Additionally, airfare and hotel pricing are at their lowest, making it an ideal time to visit.
