BRAC BASH COOKOFF

BRAC BASH COOKOFF

CULINARY CELEBRATIONS AND UNDERWATER ADVENTURES

Each year, the people of Cayman Brac throws a party called the “Brac Bash Cookoff” to commemorate the sinking of the Russian Frigate, MV Captain Keith Tibbetts. The enormous ship was sunk in 1996 and is now a popular dive site in the Cayman Islands. This festival includes a local arts and crafts show, snorkelling tours of the wreck, an underwater scavenger hunt and, of course, local cuisine to feed all of the adventure. The very popular cook-off competition brings out some of the best culinary talent in the Cayman Islands.
