Michael Tibbetts is the CEO of JEM Worldwide, the owner and operator of Little Cayman Beach Resort, Cayman Brac Beach Resort, Cobalt Coast Resort and Reef Divers. Michael is a long-time diving enthusiast and is committed to marine protection, conservation and education. He aims to continue the Tibbetts family legacy of delighting divers from around the world in their exploration of the waters of the Cayman Islands. As a businessman, Michael is also involved in the construction, retail and building materials businesses. Prior to joining JEM Worldwide in a full-time role, Michael was in private practice as an ophthalmologist. He is a 2004 graduate of Princeton University summa cum laude with a degree in molecular biology and a 2009 graduate of Harvard Medical School. Michael serves on the non-profit boards of Sight for Souls, Serge Global Missions and the Cayman Islands Legacy Fund. He loves to tell stories of his family’s heritage in the Cayman Islands and takes great joy in directing the Little Cayman Museum.
