Mr. Ronnie Anglin was born at the George Town Hospital on 29 August 1959 and grew up in West Bay, going to Teacher Redley’s school and then the West Bay Primary school before moving on to the George Town High School. He completed the Hotel Management certification at ICCI in 1986.

Ronnie’s first job was at the La Fontaine Hotel starting in 1972 where he was bar boy, bellboy, and dining room attendant. He worked at Beach Club Colony as a barbecue cook, and at the Galleon Beach and Holiday Inn Hotels as sailing and windsurfing instructor, in addition to working on the boats at Capt. Marvin’s during the summer months and whenever school was not in session. 
 
From 1987-1997 Ronnie worked in the United States, primarily with the Marriott Corporation, taking charge of training for the catering divisions of Marriott’s college accounts.
 
In 1997, he and his family moved back to Cayman where Ronnie worked at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, managing four departments including the Garden Loggia restaurant.
 
From 1998 to 2000 he worked with the Cayman Islands Government as Assistant Registrar of Companies; and in 2000 purchased Capt. Marvin’s Watersports along with Marvin Jr. Ronnie currently works as president/director of Capt. Marvin’s Watersports as well as several other tourism-related businesses in Grand Cayman.
