Al Giddings manufactured this camera for Nikon and Canon cameras. Giddings/Felgen housings became extremely popular with professional and serious amateur underwater photographers around the world. Compact, versatile and rugged, the housing could be adapted to a variety of camera and lenses. Removable lens ports accommodated extreme wide angle to telephoto and micro lenses.
Underwater photographer, author and dive travel entrepreneur, Carl Roessler used this housing, nicknamed "Old Bessie" for many years on dives all over the world. Carl Roessler donated the housing. Al Giddings and Carl Roessler are both inductees in the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame.
