Ensure that the travel trade is knowledgeable of the Cayman Islands and that they receive first-class tangible and intangible experiences and are better able to convert potential visitors into loyal customers.Create compelling reasons to travel and infuse Caymanian culture into every activity performed. Ensure efforts in local media are consistent with global positioning and stay true to the Cayman Islands brand when promoting the Sister Islands. Develop and execute event tourism to create additional compelling reasons to visit the Cayman Islands during shoulder periods and add to the diversity of experiences in the Cayman Islands. Support Global Office programming to provide vibrant Cayman Islands experiences in source marketing and on-island.

  • Annick Jackman

    Manager, National Promotions and Events

    Annick Jackman is the Manager for National Promotions and Events.  With over a decade of experience in the field she has helped to execute many successful national events. Fluent in Spanish, she uses this skill to successfully develop the Latin American strategy which seeks to increase awareness of the Cayman Islands and grow visitation in this emerging market.

    Annick has also worked on and assisted in the development of strategies to grow visitation to the islands via summer and fall promotions as well as manage sponsorships and partnerships with external partners. She leads a dynamic, creative team, whose goal is to strive to become vanguards in the field of destination marketing.  

    Her professional qualifications include a Master’s degree in Public Sector Management from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madres y Maestra (Dominican Republic) and a bachelor's degree in Spanish with a Minor in Computer Science from the University of the West Indies. 

    Annick is a Distinguished Toastmaster and trainer who served as Club President for numerous terms and as an Area Governor. During her tenure she was responsible for the growth of four clubs in the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. She is also an ongoing club mentor who spearheaded the development of the training module in Public Speaking for the Miss Cayman Islands contestants. She also represented the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean Toastmasters Evaluation Contest and this proficiency in evaluation is essential in assessing the strengths and challenges of team growth and event programming. Annick is the 2018 Caribbean Toastmasters International Speech Champion who represented the region in the Semi-finals of the 2018 World Championship of Public Speaking.

  • Gary Hendricks-Dominguez

    Events Marketing Representative

    Gary has been working in the tourism industry since age 15, when he interned with the Cayman Islands Tourism Association. He has planned major events such as the annual Taste of Cayman, the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and the 2009 Cayman Jazz Festival with Alicia Keys. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the International College of the Cayman Islands, a Digital Marketing Certification from the Digital Marketing Institute of Ireland and is currently pursuing an MBA in Marketing, Hospitality Management and Aviation from Lynn University in Florida. Gary is known for his creative and outgoing personality and brings over a decade of Marketing and Event Management experience to the Department.

    Tourism Services Supervisor

    Passionate about the islands she has grown up in, Sarah had been working in the hospitality sector in hotels for 6 years before joining the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Lodging Management from the Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte, North Carolina.
    An organized and detailed- orientated professional, with a creative mind. Sarah believes in developing strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues, vendors, clients and the community. 

  • Alyssa Miller

    Marketing Assistant

    Alyssa has over 8 years’ experience in the Cayman Islands tourism industry, holding the title of Marketing Assistant within the Department of Tourism for the past 5½ years. Alyssa currently leads the FAM (Familiarization) Programme, which, in conjunction with our various regions, brings an average of 80 to 100 travel agents to our beautiful islands, enabling them to better sell our destination to their clients. Alyssa also assists the Events team in executing on-island events when needed. She earned her Associate’s degree in Social Studies from University College of the Cayman Islands and a certificate in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality from Eastern College. Alyssa is also a full-time mom of two beautiful children and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.
