Ensure that the travel trade is knowledgeable of the Cayman Islands and that they receive first-class tangible and intangible experiences and are better able to convert potential visitors into loyal customers.Create compelling reasons to travel and infuse Caymanian culture into every activity performed. Ensure efforts in local media are consistent with global positioning and stay true to the Cayman Islands brand when promoting the Sister Islands. Develop and execute event tourism to create additional compelling reasons to visit the Cayman Islands during shoulder periods and add to the diversity of experiences in the Cayman Islands. Support Global Office programming to provide vibrant Cayman Islands experiences in source marketing and on-island.

  • Tristaca Ebanks

    Manager, National Promotions and Events

    Tristaca is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the events field and the Cayman Islands Government Sector. Prior to joining CIDOT, Tristaca was employed as a Special Events Co-Ordinator and FOI Manager with the Ministry of Investment, Innovation & Social Development.  Additionally, Tristaca has worked as a Personal Assistant to the Chief Officer at the Ministry of Employment & Border Control and the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Governor at the Office of the Deputy Governor. As Manager, National Promotions & Events, she is responsible for the department's national marketing, including local and community sponsorship, special events, domestic advertising & collateral, the travel trade FAM program and leading the Cayman Islands Latin America strategy.

    Tristaca comes to CIDOT with experience in leadership, public administration, events, and promotional planning. Tristaca holds a BA in Public Administration and Human Resources Management.

     

  • Alyssa Miller

    Events Marketing Supervisor

    Meet Alyssa, an experienced marketing and events professional with over 14 years’ experience in the Cayman Islands tourism industry. Before joining the National Promotions and Events team, she spent 3 years as a Group Reservations Specialist with our National Flag Carrier Cayman Airways, where she managed all aspects of group bookings, ticketing and coordination.

    Since joining the National Events and Promotions team in 2012 as a Marketing Assistant, Alyssa has risen through the ranks to become an Events Marketing Supervisor in September 2021. In her current role, Alyssa leads the events and promotions side of the team and works closely with on-island partners to enhance our guests’ experiences through engaging events and partnerships. She also supports the FAM team in executing on-island events when needed.

    Alyssa brings a wealth of experience, knowledge in stakeholder engagement, event planning, and customer service excellence to her role. She earned her associate degree in social studies from University College of the Cayman Islands and a certificate in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality from Eastern College. Alyssa is also a full-time mom to four beautiful children while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in graphic design from Southern New Hampshire University.

  • Tatiana Ramoon

    Marketing Officer (Events)

    Tatiana Ramoon joined the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism as Marketing Officer (Events) effective 13 March 2023. In this position she provides organizational support to the Marketing Supervisor (Events) and assists with the planning and execution of on-island events hosted by the Department of Tourism.

    Prior to joining the National Promotions and Events team, Tatiana held the position of Public Relations Assistant at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. In this capacity Tatiana developed, produced and maintained visual and written communication materials, and assisted with the planning, coordinating, and executing of Public Relations activities, events, and varying projects.

    Tatiana holds a Master’s in Tourism Management with distinction from Bournemouth University, a Bachelor’s in Event Management from the University of Central Florida and an Associate’s in Hospitality Management from the University College of the Cayman Islands. She also obtained a Professional Public Relations Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
