Cayman Islands Tourism officials from around the world meet in Denver, Colorado to discuss the future of the industry and further developing West Coast United States visitation for the Cayman Islands.

Cayman Islands Tourism officials from around the world meet in Denver, Colorado to discuss the future of the industry and further developing West Coast United States visitation for the Cayman Islands.
Current government projects with a tourism impact discussed:
- The $55M expansion of Owen Roberts International Airport scheduled for completion by December 2018.
- Construction of the twin-pier cruise berthing facility - contract for construction to be awarded September 2018;
- New traffic lanes being added to both of Linford Pierson and Esterley Tibbets Highways to improve traffic flows between the East and West of the Island.
2017 stay over visitor spend an estimated USD$498M – an increase of 15%, over 2016.
1.7M cruise passengers spent an estimated USD$154M while on shore in 2017
In 2017 the contributions from room taxes amounted to over USD$31.5M.
The target for stayover visitors to the Cayman Islands in 2018 is 440,00 people, an increase of 5.2%.
