The European office of the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) has recruited Sergio Sosa as Sales Executive, effective immediately.
Sergio joins the department with over eighteen years of experience in various sales roles within the tourism and travel industry with prior roles including sales at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort. He will be responsible for all sales-based activities in the CIDOT European office.
Don McDougall, Regional Manager Europe of the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism said, “It is great to have Sergio on board. He comes to the Department of Tourism with a wealth of experience and knowledge in sales and marketing with excellent client skills. And of course, his product knowledge is fantastic having lived in the Cayman Islands for a number of years. Sergio’s appointment strengthens our commitment to the trade and our ongoing strategic initiatives for trade re-engagement, which he will be driving forward.”
Sergio added, “Having lived in Cayman for a number of years I can safely say that the Cayman Islands is a destination that needs to be shouted about. I am looking forward to being involved with the new projects that the Department of Tourism is working on to further promote these spectacular islands and further strengthening our existing relationships with the travel trade.”
These idyllic Caribbean islands offer European visitors a relatively undiscovered paradise. Served by British Airways four times per week and renowned for excellent service standards, the three islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman offer barefoot luxury complimented by a diverse range of experiences in a sophisticated, welcoming society.
