The Cayman Islands has reported an increase of over 14% growth in leisure visitor arrivals into Grand Cayman from the UK & Ireland for the month of June compared to 2018.
The Cayman Islands has reported an increase of over 14% growth in leisure visitor arrivals into Grand Cayman from the UK & Ireland for the month of June compared to 2018.   Overall 2019 year-to-date arrivals until 30 June have also seen an increase of 8.59% for the Caribbean destination.
The increased arrivals figures come as the new Regional Manager for UK & Europe, Adrian White and new Sales Executive, Irene Orozco work on developing trade partnerships and raising trade product awareness of the unique holiday experiences available on all three islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Planned activity includes regional roadshows, call centre training, branch visits, a revamped training programme plus plans to run familiarisation trips in 2019/2020.
Adrian White, Regional Manager (UK & Europe) commented: “We are delighted to see the growth from the UK following such competitive offers in the marketplace from our key tour operator and airline partners.   This is a great foundation as we continue to develop trade partnerships and start implementing our training and fam trip strategy for Q4 2019 and 2020.    We want as many agents as possible to experience the Cayman Islands’ spectacular wildlife, first-rate diving, international culinary scene and thrilling water sports/activities as well as the diverse accommodation offering.”
Agents can register for the Cayman Islands Training Programme by visiting caymanislands-training.co.uk.  To further support travel partners, a broad range of collateral is also available from the Department of Tourism by emailing trade-info@caymanislands.ky or by visiting visitcaymanislands.com or www.divecayman.ky.
