  1. Over 200 Restaurants

Boasting more than 200 restaurants and culinary influences from all over the world, the Cayman Islands provide visitors with an endless array of options to suit any palate. Abundant in natural resources from the sea and land, the Cayman Islands offers mouth-watering farm-to-table cuisine.  Many restaurants on the Islands like the Brasserie in George Town feature a diverse homegrown food scene committed to serving only locally-sourced ingredients.  You can look forward to unsurpassed service, award-winning chefs and an eclectic array of different culinary options.

As well as the celebrity-led restaurants in the hotels, there’s also a well-developed farm/boat to table movement with various chefs like Thomas Tennant and the owners of Brassiere leading the way.  King and Lisa Flowers, the owners of the Brasserie are pioneers of the farm-to-table movement in the Cayman Islands.  As well as having their own garden, bee hives, chickens and deep-sea fishing boat, they have developed close relationships with the islands’ leading growers.  They use their own herbs and fruit for cocktails such as Brasserie margaritas with spiced Cayman sea salt foam and flavoured with Cayman mango, local tamarind and watermelon.
  1. Flavour Tours in Grand Cayman
To get a real flavour of the huge variety of culinary delights of the Cayman Islands, we recommend trying one of the popular food tours from either Camana Bay or from George Town. These include sommelier-led wine-tasting and tastings at featured restaurants like Asian Bistrot Mizu, seafood restaurant Abacus and the Waterfront Restaurant.  Guests meet with local chefs and restaurant owners who can share secret recipes. The guides can also give an insight into local historical sites and art, and of course, you can pick up tips of where to eat during your stay on the islands.
