“I’m super proud to be partnering with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism for the season ahead,” said Turner. “I’m really looking forward to visiting the Cayman Islands very soon to have my first experience of this wonderful part of the world and sharing what I discover with everyone.”

Regional Manager for CIDOT Europe Adrian White said “We are thrilled to have Darren on board as a brand ambassador for the Cayman Islands. His racing exploits with Aston Martin embody what the destination represents – luxury with a sense of adventure. The new association represents a new direction for the tourist board, exploring new partnerships with influential individuals who are highly regarded in their fields of expertise to further promote Cayman’s luxury offering.

“We’re looking forward to Darren visiting the islands to experience the friendly atmosphere, beautiful beaches and luxurious accommodation, but also to seek out a new adrenaline rush by getting up close and personal with the stingrays or trying his hand at kitesurfing.”

A British Overseas Territory, the Cayman Islands is located in the western Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba and north west of Jamaica.  Comprising of three islands, all offer something different, from the barefoot elegance of Grand Cayman, to the adventurous spirit of Cayman Brac and the tranquillity of Little Cayman.
Well known for dining, world-class diving, beautiful beaches, tranquil turquoise sea and incredible wildlife, the Cayman Islands offer a memorable and luxurious experience for visitors of all ages and interests.  Visitors can explore spectacular coral reefs, relax in a beach hammock and eat at a five-star restaurant – all in one day.
The Cayman Islands ‘Sir Turtle’ logo will be proudly displayed on Darren’s race helmet throughout the season, starting with the Lone Star Le Mans race weekend at the Circuit of the Americas on 22-23 February.
