The Ministry of Tourism and Transport has launched a mandatory survey that must be completed by all recipients of the tourism stipend.
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (23 June 2021)—Beginning today, Wednesday, 23 June 2021, the Ministry of Tourism and Transport has launched a mandatory survey that must be completed by all recipients of the tourism stipend. The survey can be accessed at stipend.ourcayman.ky and the deadline for completion is Friday, 2 July 2021.

Hon. Kenneth Bryan, Minister for Tourism explained that the objective for conducting the  survey is to collect accurate data that will enable the Ministry to plan for the future needs of the industry, in preparation for reopening.

“My ultimate goal as Minister for Tourism, is to ensure that displaced tourism workers who wish to return to the industry, are given first preference to fill tourism vacancies. The data collected from stipend recipients will allow for more accountability, and will help me to ensure that the skills of our Caymanian people are being appropriately matched to the available jobs,” he said.
The survey is estimated to take 15-20 minutes to complete and includes questions such as:
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Tourism role prior to the pandemic
  • Tourism Sector (Stayover or Cruise)
  • Current employment Status
  • WORC registration status
  • And more.
Respondents are reminded that it is a criminal offense to make any statement which is false or which they believe to be untrue.
When completing the survey, respondents must also upload a copy of one form of government issued photo ID, from either their Cayman Islands Voter Registration Card, Driver’s License or passport.
