2021 Tourism Tax Remittance Update for the Accommodation Sector

The Cayman Islands Ministry of Tourism (MOT) and Department of Tourism (DOT) are pleased to announce that a decision has been taken by the Cayman Islands Government to waive Tourism Accommodations Tax for the period of 1 January 2021 through to 30 September 2021 and is officially now in effect. Accommodation properties will not be required to submit any administrative forms or remittances for the 2021 identified period.
The Cayman Islands Ministry of Tourism continues its evaluation and support initiatives for the tourism industry as we continue to operate under difficult economic circumstances due to COVID-19 pandemic.
