Escape to Rum Haven for an authentic Caymanian getaway on the banks of Sand Point Cove. This recently redecorated (2017) one-bedroom, one-bath charismatic bungalow is located just steps from iconic Rum Point—which means you can walk to a bustling beach bar, restaurant, and watersports outfitter— not to mention one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
Rum Haven provides everything you need to feel at home, all wrapped up in a charming, light-filled package with an open kitchen, dining and living area. The bed and bathrooms at Rum Haven are low-maintenance and immaculate, with crisp linens on the king-sized bed and a sparkling bathroom. A sofa sleeper in the living area. An enclosed lanai overlooks the calm water of the cove and swaying palm trees—the hallmark of paradise. Bring some fresh fish back to cook in the fully equipped kitchen or on the charcoal grill or the stove, then enjoy your meal while overlooking your tropical surroundings.
While you’re here, rent your own boat for your stay and explore the blue waters of the North Sound, then tie it up at the boat dock at Rum Haven. Upon request there are a ladies style bicycle and a double kayak with 2 life vests for you to explore the area.
This area of Grand Cayman, Cayman Kai, is one of the loveliest parts of the island. Quiet, laid back, and mostly residential, Cayman Kai is a great spot for safely walking, running, and biking amongst beautiful Caribbean scenery. Another Cayman Island hot spot, Kaibo Yacht Club, is also within walking distance. Like Rum Point, Kaibo Yacht Club gathers locals and visitors to enjoy delicious food and beachfront cocktails, and it also boasts a gourmet restaurant, called “Upstairs,” which serves fresh, innovative Caribbean-European cuisine.
Rum Haven is a great spot for a romantic getaway or families with one or two kids.
