The Annual Tourism Conference was held on October 16, 2018 at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort and Spa, featuring a State of the Industry address by the Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Moses Kirkconnell and a full Cayman Islands destination overview and update by the Director of Tourism, Mrs. Rosa Harris. Caribbean Economist, Mrs. Marla Dukharan, delivered the keynote presentation focusing on socio-economic gains from Tourism. The conference shaped a discussion on Global Economies, Development and Travel trends with a dynamic panel including Keynote speaker Mrs. Marla Dukharan, VP Publisher from AFAR Media Mr. Bryan Kinkade and VP Development of Apple Leisure Group Mr. Fernando Fernandes. The panel was moderated by Cayman Islands tourism veteran Mr. Kenneth Hydes.
