Lauren joined the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism in August 2022. She has more than 10 years of experience in public relations, internal communications, and business development in the Cayman Islands, UK, and Canada. As Manager, Global Public Relations Services, Lauren is responsible for the department’s global public relations strategy, including media relations, local and international communications, brand management as well as managing the department’s international public relations agencies and the Visiting Journalist Programme.
Prior to joining CIDOT, she was employed as a Business Development and Communications Specialist by a prominent offshore law firm. Additionally, Lauren worked as PR Manager for a prominent local real estate developer, and as a Communications Manager for a large regional insurance company. Lauren holds a BA in Professional Writing and Communications from York University and a MA in Public Relations and Strategic Communications from Leeds Business School.
Ms. Hannah Ebanks joined the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism in July 2021 as the Public Relations Officer, having previously worked in journalism, marketing and public relations in the United States. In this role, Ms. Ebanks is responsible for copywriting, assisting with media relations and managing the visiting journalist programme; as well as supervising the Public Relations Assistant. Prior to joining DoT, she worked as a freelance Marketing Assistant for various marketing agencies in the United States. Ms. Ebanks holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and minor in Marketing and Marketing Communications from Emerson College.
