Work Permits

Temporary Work Permit Application:

All international cast and crew brought into the Cayman Islands to work on film productions are required to apply for a temporary work permit valid up to 3 months. For more information regarding immigration requirements, please visit the Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC) government website.

If the production company is granted approval to film in the Cayman Islands, the CIFC will act as liaison between the production company and other government agencies to ensure a smooth filming process.

All production team members (cast and crew) are required to have a Temporary Work Permit to work in the Cayman Islands.  The CIFC will provide the application form and liaise with the relevant Government entity for processing; each temporary work permit costs US$104 per person. 

Please note that supporting documents are required to accompany the application, including but not limited to:

• Recent passport-sized photo
• Police clearance from country of residence 
• Medical clearance
• Proof of health insurance 
• Copy of the picture page of a valid passport

Note: When scheduling arrival dates please allow at least 14 business days for work permit processing.
