The World Class Sunset Bar was a new addition to Cayman Cookout this year.  The event took place on the rooftop patio at the Ritz-Carlton overlooking Cayman's famous Seven Mile Beach and providing a remarkable view of the sunset. 

Dominique Crenn, the chef/owner of two Michelin starred Atelier Crenn of San Francisco, focuses on cuisine as a craft and the community as an inspiration.

As much as I love José Andrés with his animated and friendly personality, I could never understand why this event was one of the first to sell out year after year.  All I really knew was that he always made a unique entrance to the event and made some of his delicious paella.  So this year I finally got the chance to see what all the fuss was about.

The legend of chef José Andrés grows as his 2018 Cayman Cookout entrance managed to top previous years in spectacle and lure. A morning crowd mixed with guests, talent and staff gathered on Seven Mile Beach to witness this annual tradition.

A new event at the annual Cayman Cookout hosted at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, this event had impressive numbers waiting to explore the world of Sake.

Has it been an entire year already? It seems like yesterday we were in awe as chefs Emeril Lagasse and José Andrés made their unforgettable 2017 entrance -popping and shooting champagne at each other like Tommy Guns from a 1930’s gangster flick.

The Cayman Cookout festivities began with Mixologist Bob Peters’ coffee infused, Diplomatico Rum Boulevardiers. Throughout the weekend we were taken on an exciting journey discovering the art format of craft beverages; brought down to absolute simplicity.

Who dares say no to going on a culinary excursion around the world with Anthony Bourdain?

With the atmosphere just oozing Cuban culture, this event was one of my cultural favorites.
