Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies

Cayman’s annual Christmas Tree Lightings are the official herald of the holiday season. Whether gathered on the asphalt streets surrounding heroes square or viewing from the highest floors of Camana Bay’s Observation Tower, the eager anticipation of the first glimpse of Christmas adds to the magic of the season.

Annual Christmas Tree lightings have always been a festive affair, featuring local choirs, dancers and possibly a visit from the bearded man himself. Welcoming local artisans and craftsmen in a magical holiday market have also become synonymous with our Christmas Tree Lighting ceremonies, allowing for a well-rounded evening of merriment.

Camana Bay Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Market

This first event on the festival calendar acts as the kickoff to the holiday season. Featuring a local craft market on the Paseo, performances by children and adult choirs, DJ’s spinning holiday classics and a visit from Santa who begins the countdown to the official lighting of their new 42 ft. fully lit tree. There promises to be something for everyone at the Camana Bay Tree Lighting.

Rotary Club Cayman Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

For the past 57 years, the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman has proudly hosted an annual Christmas Tree lighting in the heart of George Town. Centered in the commemorative Heroes Square, this event focuses on the traditional Christmas of yesteryear while welcoming new experiences as well. A wonderful family gathering filled with carols, instrumentals and a visit from Jolly Old St. Nick, the Rotary Tree Lighting is a staple for the Christmas season.
