The Beach Bash at Rum Point

One of the signature events of the Cayman Cookout, “The Beach Bash” whisks attendees across the crystal-clear waters of the North Sound to Grand Cayman’s North Side. It was there, at Rum Point, that attendees enjoyed an epicurean adventure alongside celebrity chefs including Eric Ripert, Emeril Lagasse and Nancy Silverton, and host Al Roker, while sipping on a chilled glass of Moet Imperial.

The beachside street food extravaganza featured an array of tasty bites by internationally renowned chefs. From Chef Tony Biggs’ Certified Angus Beef Tartare to Nancy Silverton’s Grilled Cheese, our taste buds were tingling with every bite.

Amongst the palm trees, colourful picnic tables and swaying hammocks, foodies mixed and mingled with celebrity chefs, beverage specialists and fellow food lovers from across the globe. We sipped on Flor de Cana rum, cooled off with a Pineapple Cilantro Mojito Popsicle and feasted on extravagant bites including Bison Steamed Buns, Crispy Pork Belly Tacos and Chef Emeril’s Lobster Boudin Bundles.

The Cayman Cookout hosts so many absolutely outstanding events that it’s hard to pick favourites but we have to say the Beach Bash is definitely at the top of our list to do all over again next year. Let the countdown begin!

Pro tip: If you’re thinking about travelling to the Cayman Islands for the Cayman Cookout in January 2020, the Beach Bash is an annual event not to be missed. Adding on the option of transfers by catamaran will get you a bonus stop at Stingray City, a must do attraction here in Grand Cayman and a perfect way to start your day in this foodie paradise!
